President’s Commitment to Next Generation: Free Health Checks by Youth and Sports Minister Dito

Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo recently visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta in Rawamangun, East Jakarta to observe the implementation of the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program. This program, which was launched simultaneously in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens across Indonesia, is a direct representation of President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to the health of young Indonesians.

During his visit, Minister Dito highlighted the importance of the initiative in promoting healthy lifestyles among students and improving the overall physical fitness of the Indonesian population. The data collected from the CKG program will be used to inform policies aimed at addressing health issues early and ensuring that the younger generation is physically and mentally strong.

Accompanying Minister Dito on his visit were officials from the Ministry of Health and the Presidential Communication Office, as well as a group of athletes including Olympic gold medalist Veddriq Leonardo, Desak Made Rita Kusuma, and former national badminton player Bellaetrix Manuputty.

The health screenings conducted at SMKN 26 Jakarta included measurements of height, weight, nutritional status, blood pressure, physical fitness, dental and eye health, as well as screenings for tuberculosis and mental well-being. The students actively participated in the activities, which also included educational sessions on maintaining clean and healthy living habits.

The CKG Sekolah program, initiated by President Prabowo, aims to reform the national healthcare system by focusing on promotive and preventive care. With a primary focus on 53.8 million students across all levels of education, the program has already benefitted over 16 million people across Indonesia. The government is optimistic that this initiative will promote equal access to healthcare services and contribute to the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
