Max Verstappen, the four-time Formula 1 world champion, will be participating in the legendary Nurburgring 24 Hours event this year with Mercedes. He was confirmed to make his debut at the German endurance classic on 14-17 May with the Winward team. Verstappen will be driving the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 alongside factory drivers Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon, and Daniel Juncadella. The quartet will also compete in the NLS2 race as part of their preparation for the main event. Verstappen expressed his excitement about racing at the Nurburgring, stating that it has always been a race on his bucket list. Mercedes will field two Performance Teams at the Nordschleife enduro, with the second car represented by Maro Engel, Maxime Martin, Fabian Schiller, and Luca Stolz. They are looking to build on their past success at the Nurburgring 24 Hours and are focused on maximizing their performance in the upcoming races.
