Boost IndyCar Long Beach with FOX NASCAR Kansas TV Audience

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday attracted 2.926 million viewers on FOX, as reported by Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel metric. This marked a significant increase of 26 percent from the previous year’s race, which aired on FS1. Despite the rise, the viewership numbers were below those of past April Cup Series races, which used to draw over 3 million viewers in previous years.

This year, the race returned to over-the-air FOX, serving as a lead-in for the IndyCar Series’ Grand Prix of Long Beach, in which the network has a minority ownership stake. The doubleheader proved to be a success for FOX, with the Long Beach race garnering 1.27 million viewers, up 130 percent from the previous year.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series also brought in positive results for The CW network. The Kansas Lottery 300 race attracted 1.18 million viewers, making it the most-watched second-tier division race at Kansas since 2023. This marked a 12 percent increase from the same weekend the previous year. Since partnering at the beginning of the 2025 campaign, NASCAR on The CW has consistently maintained an average viewership of over a million per race.

The overall success of both NASCAR and IndyCar races on FOX indicates the enduring popularity of motorsports programming among viewers. This trend bodes well for the future of both series and the network as they continue to attract significant audiences.
