President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia departed for Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday evening, traveling on the Whoosh high-speed train from Halim Station in Jakarta. Arriving at the station around 7:45 p.m. local time, dressed in a cream-colored outfit with a matching jacket and navy blue cap, he blended in with other passengers as he tapped his boarding card at the ticket gate and headed to the platform. His presence sparked surprise and excitement among commuters, as he waved to onlookers and warmly engaged with the crowd before boarding the train to Tegalluar Station in Bandung. President Prabowo is set to open the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from August 7 to 9. Alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, he will deliver the keynote address at the convention, themed “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” positioning KSTI 2025 as a significant strategic forum nationally and internationally.
