Recently, President Prabowo Subianto appointed General Tandyo Budi as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). Alongside this, he also inaugurated six new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, 20 brigade commanders, and 100 Territorial Development Battalions. During the ceremony, outstanding soldiers were honored with the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor for their integrity and dedication.
In his address, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of leadership, stating that commanders must lead from the front. He highlighted the role of military leaders as the first line of defense in challenging situations, urging them to set the example for their troops.
Prabowo rejected the notion of commanders staying behind the lines, emphasizing that true leaders lead from the front and serve as role models for their soldiers. He encouraged military leaders to take care of their troops like they would their own children, providing guidance and support without cruelty.
The President concluded his speech by reminding everyone of the TNI’s identity and mission – as the people’s army, born from and dedicated to serving the people. Prabowo reaffirmed the TNI’s commitment to defending the people and being prepared to make sacrifices for their country.
The ceremony marked an important moment for the Indonesian National Armed Forces, as new leaders were appointed and recognized for their commitment to duty and integrity.
